Do you ‘do’ Halloween?

As the leaves finish turning from green to yellow to orange and then fall to the ground (usually collecting all over my patio from miles around!) one of the first autumnal events in the calendar is All Hallows’ Evening or, Halloween for short (although not much).

I had never made much (anything) of Halloween until I moved in with my boyfriend. It turns out he is decoration bonkers so now we go all out at the front of the house with a massive 20 ft clown (think IT not Coco), giant spiders web and eyeballs stuck to our railings. To be fair, we then spend 2 weeks listening to the local kids walking past and loving it all!

As I’ve always said, Puddys are not just for Christmas. They are equally great at Halloween time although, I have to warn you…..they aren’t particularly scary so if you are planning to use them to keep those pesky ‘Trick or Treaters’ from your door, you may need supplementary props. Alternatively, arrange a night out on 31 October. It’s a Monday this year so nothing too late though!

If you are reading this before the big day or rather night, I may have some of these cute Mini Halloween chaps left as well as one or two of their bigger bookend brothers. Just drop me a message here or via messenger to find out.

Harry isn’t the only Wizard

Puddys come with 2 different hat styles and the second seems to turn the chaps in to instant Wizards. Both the Doorstop and Bookend size gnomes come with the magical hats and I’m working on a mini version too.

Most fabrics are suitable for a ‘hat with the brim’ as they either have wire or stiff interfacing in them which gives them a kinda wave (if you see what I mean).

These 2 wizards sold even before I managed to share them and it’s not hard to see why. The faux blue leather fabric is spellbinding.

What does this chap remind you of?

Am I the only person who thinks this super soft Puddy looks a bit like a giraffe? He’s doorstop size so stands about 35cm tall, depending on how high he wears his hat, and he has a delightfully curly beard. However, he does have a slightly smaller nose than a true Puddy should have so he’s now available for the very special price of just £22 delivered anywhere in the UK.

To get this gnome in your home (or in someone else’s as a very special gift) either click on this PayPal link (it’s under the pic too) use our contact form, email me via gnomehq@puddysticks.co.uk or message me via our Facebook page.

Bah, Bah, Sheep Festival have you any gnomes?

This year me and the gnomes will be heading to the Llandovery Sheep Festival in September. Not something I ever thought I’d be doing but it should be a brilliant 2 days in a beautiful Welsh town where my parents now live.

Here are the first of the chaps all ready to head to the hills. Check back in a few days to see some more of the flock 🙂
